Introduction

Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company was established in Tabriz in 1968 as a special joint stock company with the participation of Romania in order to produce various types of tractors and industrial machines in the city of Tabriz on a land area of 400 hectares. UTB brand tractors started working. Since 1975, the production of these tractors has been gradually phased out and the production of MF tractors began with the participation of the British company Messi Ferguson. Over time, with the localization of tractor production technology, the company's products are produced and marketed under the domestic ITM brand.

In 1996, Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company became a public company and was listed on the stock exchange. In 2008, in order to implement Article 44 of the Constitution, it was transferred to the private sector. At present, this company has a nominal capacity of 30,000 units per year. Tractors in the range of 38 to 150 hp, which includes light, medium, semi-heavy and heavy tractors, has been able to account for more than 95% of the domestic market and is the largest manufacturer of tractors in the Middle East.

In recent years, Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company with more focus on taking measures in the field of self-sufficiency in the production of strategic tractor parts and assemblies such as front axle, center gearbox, hydraulic assemblies, etc., product development such as design and production of 475, 485, 800 tractors , 470 and the strategic product of heavy tractors, the development of infrastructure and also by increasing the productivity of production factors have been able to follow the path of excellence even in recent difficult economic years.
